Veterinarians in East Setauket, NY | Emergency Veterinary Care
Our experience with Dr. A was very positive. He discovered ear and skin infections that were missed by two vets before him and advised us to rule out another possible disease that could account for his symptoms. He put us at ease and helped my boy get on the road to recovery. Thank you Dr. A!
Our sweet boy Sonny always seems to have an emergency situation on a holiday or after hours at our primary vet. Easter Sunday was his 5th visit to Dr Azagrar. Last November and early December he was admitted with life threatening issues. His previous Er vets are on the south shore and the 35-45 minute drive in an emergency is heart wrenching. He has a complicated health history but Dr A patiently listened to us and we immediately felt comfortable with leaving him that first time. He communicates with Sonny’s other vets and sends all the records to them. The practice is immaculate and staff is kind and considerate even when I call too often to see how he’s doing. From stitching an ear to healing a collapsed lung Dr A has been honest, knowledgeable and compassionate with us. I highly recommend this ER Vet.
The entire staff are amazing and Dr. Azagrar goes above and beyond to be communicative throughout your loved ones visit and even days after you are home. I trusted him and his staff with my 14 year old beagles back surgery, which was emotionally traumatic for both myself and my dog. Dr. Azagrar and his staff were very compassionate throughout the whole process and made a difficult situation much easier for us. We have a long road to healing, but I sleep well at night knowing that he and his staff are a quick car ride away if we need something. As a guardian to 7 dogs and 6 cats in our household, a knowledgeable, skilled, and compassionate vet are a must! In addition, he does not push unnecessary diagnostics on you and his prices are reasonable and even cheaper than other vets on LI. I highly recommend him, his clinic, and his staff.
We are over the moon with the care that Pet ER and Dr. Azagrar provided for our Bernese Mountain Dog, Jake. We had rushed Jake there from Atlantic Coast in Bohemia as they diagnosed him with Bloat/GDV and did not have a surgeon or surgical tech on staff for the surgery Jake needed right away. Atlantic Coast stabilized Jake and we called Pet ER and they told us to bring him over right away. We walked in and he was immediately seen and taken for surgery after just one look. Jake surgery went well and they were super informative and kept in touch with us over the last 36 hours. Dr. A had informed us that Jake stomach was twisted a full 360° and it was good that we acted as quickly as we did. He explained everything that he did and even gave us an informative opinion on our other dogs getting sutures to possibly prevent bloat in our other dogs(he does not recommend). Jake is now home and we are so happy he ended up in such great hands. We would recommend Dr. Azagrar and Pet ER for any of your pet emergency needs!!!
